Jennings & Co. Solicitors
Quality, Independent Legal Advice.
Our Firm
Jennings & Co. Solicitors was established by its principal Brian Jennings in October 2017. Brian is a native of Ballyfarna, a village just north of the town of Claremorris, County Mayo. He graduated from N.U.I. Galway with degrees in Arts and Laws and he subsequently attended The Honourable Society of Kings Inns, Dublin where he was admitted to the degree of barrister-at-law. Brian was called to the Bar of Ireland in 2008 and practised law as a barrister for eight years. Brian is an accredited mediator and he also completed the advanced advocacy course in Keble College, Oxford in 2015. A desire to represent clients directly (which barristers are prohibited from doing) together with a desire to return to his home town resulted in Brian transferring across to the solicitor branch of the legal profession. Brian’s name was entered on the Roll of Solicitors in March 2017.
As a practising barrister, Brian was instructed by solicitors nationwide and has assisted clients at all court levels (District Court, Circuit Court & High Court) in a very broad range of legal areas. While the firm deals with all areas of law typically dealt with in a rural practice, the experience Brian has gained as practising barrister over eight years has resulted in our firm having an expertise in the areas of litigation and advocacy (i.e. advising on legal disputes, managing the progression of the case and presenting/arguing the case before the court/tribunal/commission). Brian has experience in dealing with commercial disputes, personal injury* litigation, defamation, debt collection, land disputes, injunctions, banking law, asset-freezing applications, negligence (including medical and professional negligence), fraud, breach of contract, landlord and tenant disputes, employment law disputes, probate disputes, actions for and against local authorities and bankruptcy applications.
If you have a legal issue and wish to discuss it in confidence, please contact the office to arrange a consultation.
